A Life of Faith and Service

After obtaining her undergraduate and graduate degrees, Mary Murphy worked briefly as a teacher.  Seeking a new career, Mary was hired as a personnel officer with the Department of the Army.  Her many assignments took her to New York, Canada and abroad.

Ron Lemnah was born in Vermont. He and his four brothers were raised in the Catholic faith. Despite his love for the "Green Mountain State" and enjoying many nearby relatives, Ron moved to Washington after high school to work for the government.

The Charity Gene

Native Washingtonian and devout Catholic, Paul Hannan, learned about the importance of giving back and helping others from his family. His mother taught school at Blessed Sacrament Parish in Washington, DC, his grandfather donated land for St. Patrick's Church in Olney, MD and his aunt established clinics for new mothers in Africa.

An Everlasting Love

Dick is a parishioner and volunteer at Holy Spirit in Annandale. Dick and his wife, Pat were happily married for nearly 60 years. Sadly, his wife passed away in 2019. Pat was a woman of many gifts. She was a devout Catholic who loved singing at Mass, an avid golfer, winning the Women's Triple Crown in 2008, and had an enduring soft spot for softball and Brindle boxers.
