Memorials and Tribute Gifts

Honor Someone Special With a Gift in Their Name

You can establish a memorial or tribute gift to honor a loved one while supporting our mission.

An Example of How It Works

John and his mother smiling When John's mother passed away, he knew he wanted to do something that would establish a lasting legacy for her. He remembered that during her lifetime she was always praising Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Arlington (CCDA) for its tireless efforts to better the community.

John decided to make a gift to the CCDA in his mother's name using appreciated securities. Not only will his mother's legacy live on at the CCDA thanks to the gift, but John also qualified for a federal income tax charitable deduction and eliminated capital gains tax on the securities. You can also make a memorial gift through your estate.
